Asare Bediako SHS appeals for assistance

Akrokerri-Adansi, Jan. 17, GNA – Asare Bediako Senior High School (SHS), a Government assisted community school at Akrokerri in the Adansi North District of Ashanti, has appealed to individuals and organizations to assist the school to acquire a bus, assembly hall and dormitories.

Mr. C. W. Nuakoh, headmaster of the school, made the request when he conducted the Ghana News Agency (GNA) round some on-going projects in the school.

They include a 6-unit classroom block being funded with funds from the Ghana Education Fund, and a library, laboratory, store and two classroom blocks project being funded by money from Parent –Teacher Association.

Mr. Nuakoh stressed that the school serves residents of Adomanu, Abedwum, Kyekyewere and Kwapia and needed a vehicle to transport students from these areas to school and back home.

He appealed to parents and past students to contribute to the development of the school.

Mr. Nuakoh, who took the GNA to inspect the school's fish ponds, said almost 10,000 Ghana cedis have been spent on the project of which revenue to be generated would be used for the development of the school.

He said the school has harvested 20 maxi bags of maize, one bag of cowpea and a considerable quantity of tomatoes from its farm, which were used for the feeding of students.
