Kasoa, Jan.16, GNA.- Mrs Mavis Koomson, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Awutu Senya Constituency, has appealed to Ghanaians to register when the voter registration exercise starts.

She appealed to those above 18 years not to show apathy during the period otherwise they would deny themselves the opportunity to vote in the forth coming presidential and parliamentary general elections.

Mrs Koomson was speaking at a meeting organized by the community leaders of Kpormeitey to afford them the opportunity to know her. She also lives in the community which is a suburb of Kasoa.

She said vain promises are dangerous but essentially, she would press for an improvement of access roads in the area, to boost economic activities, and also pursue the development of women's economic status as well as improving educational standards in the area.

"Children who are the future pillars of the nation must not be seen loitering or wasting their precious time, when they should be in school", she said.
