Fire destroys seven- bedroom house at Beposo

Beposo (Ash) , Dec.9, GNA - Fire has burnt down a seven- bedroom house and personal property worth thousands of cedis at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region.

The cause of the fire was unknown although the 10 occupants in the house belonging to the Late Samuel Ernest Wiafe, Former Sekyere West and Amansie East District Secretary escaped unhurt.

According to Mr Patrick Kyere Nkansah, Mampong Municipal Fire Officer, there was a distress call from Beposo at about 0053 hours hence the quick deployment of personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service.

He said although the personnel got to the scene within 10 minutes and brought the fire under control, the house was completely destroyed.

Mr Nkansah could not tell the cause of the fire, which is under investigation.
