As part of efforts to increase the membership of the CPP and to also expand the support base of Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom in his bid to lead the Convention People's Party (CPP) in the 2012 general elections, the 'Youth for Nduom 2012 Team' touched base with the people of Upper West on Monday, 31 October 2011 to as part of its mission, interact with the electorates within that metropolis, especially the youth who have decided to support and campaign for Dr. Nduom.

According to Mr Divine Nkrumah, member of Nduom's campaign team, the team had already visited 2 Regions in the Northern Sector which includes the Northern Region and the Upper East Region. He provided emphasis to the point that, so far reactions and responses from those two regions have been overwhelmingly positive and welcoming. This he believes, clearly shows that CPP will win the 2012 elections.

The team as part of its activities, met with 'The Nduom' volunteers in the metropolis, who are part of over 61,000 young men and women that interact with Dr. Nduom on facebook and twitter daily.

The group revealed that workshops are being organized for the 'Nduom volunteers' to train them and to equip them with the necessary skills to be able to effectively recruit voters for the Nduom 2012 Campaign.

The move, according to the team, formed part of initiatives aimed at ensuring success for the CPP in the 2012 general elections.

Mr Nkrumah described the CPP as the only political force that has the right policies to make Ghana prosperous. He indicated the Nduom-Led CPP is the only force that can bring about massive development, economic transformation and total utilization of untapped resources in Ghana.

He noted that both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have failed Ghanaians, and that both parties do not deserve to be given the opportunity to man the affairs of this Nation.

“The CPP has critically analyzed and assessed its performance in the 2008 elections and has come out with strategies to achieve electoral success in 2012,” he added.

He urged CPP members to support the team, which was mainly made up of the youth in the party, to attract more young people.
