You Can’t Love Your Job And Gaddafi’s Family At The Same Time? Where IS Justice?

An American model who has appeared in ads for Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani and L'Oreal lost her biggest client Monday after she defended boyfriend Mutassim Gadhafi and the Gadhafi family in an interview with Italian media .

Vanessa Hessler told Italian magazine Diva e Donna, adding that she is disgusted by what is happening in Libya and that "the Gaddafi family is not how they are being depicted, they are normal people."

It is so amazing how some world leaders are viewing Gaddafi and family as next to 'Satan, the Devil'. Should all of us be made to believe that Gaddafi and family did nothing good to help the democracy and development of Libya and the world? Should the rest of Gaddafi's family face the inhumane, injustice and disgraceful end that the rebels gave to Gaddafi and Mutassim?

Where are the International Human Rights Activists who claim they want fairness for every mankind? Hessler was not wrong in dating Mutassim for years. Mutassim was a normal being who might have met injustice in the hands of the Rebels of Libya. Their relationship should not give anybody the power to treat her bad. Why would someone's appointment be terminated because she is telling the world that does not see Gaddafi's family as enemies or devils but they are as normal as all of us?

According to yahoo news, Hessler was fired on Monday by Telefonica Germany. According to the report, her relationship with the company was ended with a Tweet.

I am therefore adding my voice to that of the numerous fans of Hessler on facebook, who are congratulating her on her "courage and honesty”. It is no surprising that one fan consoled her on her firing with a picture that reads: "Stand for what is right even if you stand alone."
