ARCHBISHOP DUNCAN William of the Action Chapel International Church has charged students of tertiary institutions to be mindful of political violence, as the elections year draws near. He urged the students to apply their knowledge towards the promotion of violence-free elections.

Speaking on the theme: 'You will surely be in the palace', at a crusade at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, as part of a Convention of the Northern sector of the church, with over 10,000 students in attendance, Archbishop William urged them to stand firm and always intercede for the nation.

He advised them against being lured by politicians before, during and after the elections, into acts of violence against political opponents. The Archbishop called on Ghanaians, especially politicians not to engage in activities that could result in violence during the 2012 elections.

According to him Ghana is not different from countries where electoral violence had taken place adding that they the students should not encourage acts that are potentially dangerous to the peace and stability of country.

He further advised the students to always rely on divine direction to influence decisions because that is the only way they could succeed in life. 'As students and leaders of the future, preparation is very important,' the Bishop advised the students.
