Dear Mr. Editor,
I write to you to thank you for publishing a petition to His Excellency Prof. JE Atta-Mills sometime in June. In the petition, I enumerated the problems of development in the Wasipe Traditional Area which was part of the West Gonja district (now it is the Daboya District). This letter is to thank you for the publication because I am sure it help in the decision making process. I would also want to thank Mr. Awuku Managing Director of Metro Mass Transport for detailing a bus on the Tamale-Daboya route.
I also want to crave your indulgence to send a letter of appreciation to His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta-Mills for his Government's decision to create a new district for the Wasipe area, christened Daboya District.
Mr. President, on behalf of the entire citizenry of the Wasipe Traditional Area in the newly created Daboya District, permit me to use the same medium that was used to probably draw your attention to the need for the district to thank you most sincerely. We realize that the creation of the district is to promote development and so the ball is mostly in the hands of the people to put their heads together and decide on how to move forward. It is our hope that you will give us a Chief Executive who is broadminded, has a lot of initiatives and properly networked to be able to move this district forward to give credit to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government under your able leadership.
As you often say, without God we cannot do much. We therefore pray that God continues to gives you good health and longer life and also extend the years of governance of the N.D.C for the BETTER GHANA AGENDA to continue.
Yours Sincerely,
ABUBAKR-SADIQ BRAIMAH
