FC Nania inflicted Berekum Chelsea another defeat in their second meeting, this time to lift the Super Cup as they leave the league champions rattled ahead of the start of the Premier League.
The second-tier side prevailed 4-2 on penalties at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday as they lifted the Sly Tetteh Super Cup - Super Cup rechristened in honour of the departed Liberty Professionals President - to add to the FA Cup won in July.
Once again, the tie was decided on penalties after regulation time produced no winner with the score at 1-1.
Nania opened the scoring in the first half through midfielder Ebenezer Osei before Chelsea captain Mohammed Basit drew them level with ten minutes remaining.
But for Chelsea, it was another miserable ending when the tie headed into penalties after Abedi Pele's side, who before lifting the FA Cup beat them in the semi-final through the penalty lottery.
With the game getting the new Ghana football season underway, Nania, have again asked questions of the Berekum side considering the huge player signings in the camp of the premiership side.
The Super Cup is played between the premiership champion and FA Cup winner to precede the start of the football season.
