JUST THINKING OUT ALOUD

JUST THINKING OUT ALOUD
24.08.2011 LISTEN

Thoughts keep filling my mind as water keeps filling the Akosombo dam to the extent that it has to be let out. I am just thinking out a loud and not my intention to step on anybody's foot but if I do, I sincerely apologize.

Frankly, what does Asamoah Gyan thinks he is doing in the music industry. By now he thinks he is so talented in raping that his song won the most popular song of the year. The bare truth is that we are just a little proud of him for what he did at the 2010 world cup and also because if we do not patronize his music he might threaten to leave the black stars as he did in the 2008 nation's cup. His lyrics make no sense. He should sincerely try to improve in his style of striking and stop trying to make Castro popular for nothing because they both suck.

People did not realize this but J J Rawlins attempted a coup d'état on July 2011 but failed beyond measure. I think it should be written in the history books as is his first failed coup in May 1979. I really think that FONKAR(friends of nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings) members have brains that can only be compared to that of the elephant if not why will they risk mills for Konadu who will only fetch the party 3.1% of the national votes in 2012. I can't still believe that she won only 90 votes out of over 2000 votes. Frankly, I can even pinpoint who these 90 traitors are. Lets start counting: Rawlings and 10 old soldiers, Konadu and 10 members of 31st December women movement, Kofi Adams and 10 of his friends he drinks beer with, 10 close family friends, 24 from the volta region and 23 from the Ashanti region. What a shame.

The independence of Ghana is really really really meaningless. After 54 years of democracy, what really have we achieved as a country? lets start with the leaders we have produced so far: the first and only true leader is Dr Kwame Nkrumah. This individual achieved all the infrastructure development we are enjoying today. Some however claim that he tried to idolize himself and there was no other option but to remove him. He was removed in 1966 and the military took over. they were so dumb and had brains filled with maggots that the development of the country came to a standstill. After draining the country's resources, they decided to give it up. In 1969 Busia came on board. a supposed best university student in Africa. He ended up confirming the adage that been highly educated does not mean you are wise because he was as dumb as the word sounds and achieved nothing. In 1972, another military man took over. For Acheampong, I have no words to describe him. If I do I would end up insulting him. This is what he could do for the country: when the people complained that there was no money in the country, he stupidly printed more money into the system causing the cedi to loss its value and inflation rose steadily. When he realized the harm caused, he declared a whole week of fasting and prayers hoping for divine intervention. How on earth can you describe this man without insulting him? He was forced to resign in 1978 and general Akufo took over. The general was so weak that a young soldier in his 30's overthrew him the subsequently had him and his predecessor executed. When Rawlings realized that he knew not a thing about governance, he decided to hand over power to a civilian (Liman) and go and get himself prepared for the second coming. After almost 2 and half years of Liman taking the people through hardship courses without a degree, guess what Jesus came too early. Junior Jesus' second coming was on December 31, 1981 a day into the new year of 1982. After about 19 years of Jesus' second coming he managed to build a university without infrastructure and handed over shamefully to the opposition in January 2001. John Kuffour, the sexy don eyes, the crocked throat man came on board with no real achievements to his name. A lawyer by profession and from a rich background, he was a total failure. His real achievement after an 8 year proclaimed positive change was the national health insurance scheme. In January 2008, after a controversial election, a prof was given the mantle to deliver his people and send them to the Promised Land. Up to the date of writing this article, the prof has been deemed slower than the tortoise by his own creator but the prof shouted "go away from me you with no diploma". So again, what have we produced as a country other than selfish leaders?

Believe me you, this country are a joke. I say so because that is what is portrayed in our movie industry. let's go around the world to see what other countries show in their movies. lets not go far but to our west African brothers, Nigeria. In Nigerian movies, they portray what exactly the countries culture is. Their regard for the chief and elders of the land, the proverbs they use, unique way of dressing, their food etc tells a lot to tourists about the country. American movies also help to tell a lot about their country. You see a lot technology advancement, gender equality, party youth, robotics, etc in these American movies and they tell a lot about where the country is and where it will be in the future. You watch Chinese movies and that is exactly what the country is. Their love for kung fu, unique dressing, simple foods, discipline, and ninjas is exactly what we see in their movies. Again you watch India movies and it is what exactly the country is. Their vast knowledge in computer, their slums, expression of love through music and dancing is what exactly is portrayed in their movies. Lets then come home to our dear country Ghana, what do our movies portray? The answer is simple: jokes and fooling about. 90% of the movies in Ghana now feature Agya Koo.
