We Are Like Pencils

Trust me; everyone was created to make a positive impact in the family or society, whether big or small. But somewhere along the line, we miss some great opportunities that would have made us make the change we were supposed to make. One school of thought says that, at every point in life, one need to learn or avail himself/herself to be trained or to be advised-be ready to offer yourself to correction in order to make right choices.

Let me share with you what the pencil maker told the pencil in the beginning. The Pencil maker said, there are five things you need to know before i send you out into the world. Always remember them and you will become the best pencil you can be.

Firstly, you will be able to do many things, but only if you will allow yourself to be held in someone's hand. Secondly, you will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but this is required if you want to become a better pencil. The third thing is that, you have the ability to correct any mistakes you might make. Also, the most important part of you will always be what is inside you. Last but not least, no matter what the condition, you must continue to write but leave a clear, legible mark no matter how the situation.

So friends, now you know how the pencil was even 'trained' to achieve success in its entire life which may not even last for a month.

When we apply this advise the pencil maker told the pencil to our lives, then we should all note that it is paramount to be submissive in life to enable us learn from people who have been to where we want to be or people we always come in contact with. There is something unique about each one of us. No one is a 'waste' on this earth. The mad man is seen collecting rubbers/waste from the streets and laughing, and people make fun of him. Did we suddenly forget that he did not drop them, but the 'correct minded' person did? One key way that you can realise what is inside you, your potential, is being submissive, critical, and ready to learn. You should be ready to allow yourself to be held and turn around but you must also know what you want and be ready to go through, no matter the challenges. So as the writer breaks the pencil and sharpens it, the pencil endures the pain and writes perfectly leaving a mark that is loved by the writer, and anyone that sees the writings or the artwork.

You are the Pencil. There is something in you (in built talent) that is supposed to come out of you to free the society or your world from a particular persisting problem.
