Presidency Presidents supposed new Mansion
TUE, 16 AUG 2011 5

Good afternoon colleagues,
A while ago, we conducted journalists round a two-room duty post currently under construction by Regimanual Gray Estates, and intended for use by the security detail assigned to the President's private residence.

Please find attached pictures of the structure under construction (which some media houses say is a mansion) and correspondence between the President and Regimanual Gray confirming the President's agreement to rent the facility on completion. As the President states in a April 7, 2011 letter, "I shall be personally responsible for the payment of the rent involved."

As can be noted from the correspondence and pictures, the President has neither received a mansion as a gift, nor is he putting up or contemplating putting up a mansion.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

I would wish the President will use his time governing the country and improving the lot of Ghanaians as opposed such time time being wasted in the construction of a paltry two bedroom house for his security detail. Look this memos requiring a whole President having to write to beg for housin for his security detail. Maybe he should have moved his seat of Government to the Jubilee House
