'No shaking': Obinim's congregation affirms support
11.08.2011 LISTEN

Anyone who taught Bishop Daniel Obinim would lose a large chunk of members of his church due to his reported immoral encounter with his junior pastor's wife may have to review his stance since the congregation has pledged to stand by the Bishop through thick or thin.

Members of the International God's Way Church (ICWC), during a church service held in Accra, affirmed their unshaken support for the Bishop, noting that he had only slipped but had not fallen.

An associate pastor at the church, Zakaria Prince, told the congregants that the most important thing now was for their leader “to rise from the sin he had fallen prey to as admonished by Jesus Christ.”

“Though the Bishop is suffering all kinds of humiliation from most of us humans, but to God our maker his spiritual strength is being renewed by the tick of the clock for his genuine confession and onward spiritual soldiering…”

“As [a] result the congregation keeps on saying, No Shaking.”

Meanwhile, the lady who is reported to have been Bishop Obinim's sex partner in the past is considering taking legal action against him after he publicly claimed he cast a spell on her child.

However Ursula Owusu, who is the Vice President of FIDA International, has said that no legal action can be taken against Obinim despite his confession.

According to her, the legal system only thrives on unequivocal evidence and thus cannot rely on Obinim's claims as a basis for action.
