Esaso (E/R), May 6, GNA - Nana Obutu Frimpong, Chief of Esaso in the Asamankese Traditional Area of the Eastern Region, has exhorted parents to regard their children's education as an investment.
Nana Obutu, who was interacting with teachers and a cross-section of parents of the basic school at Esaso, noted that such investment should be consistent to yield profit.
According to the chief, good investments yield returns so they should teach their children good manners and supplement their formal education with sound training at home.
He encouraged parents to provide their children with the needed educational materials to make the investments worthwhile.
He commended the teachers and parents for their efforts towards enhancing academic performance and discipline at the school.
Nana Obutu said education brings progress and national development and appealed to the West Akim Municipal Assembly to assist the only school in the town with infrastructure and also asked the Educational Directorate to provide the school with teaching aids.
