
Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama has presented the ''2002 Minister of the Year Award'' to Dr Kwame Addo Kufuor, Minister of Defence and acting Minister of Interior for his excellent achievements at the two ministries.
For his prize, Dr Addo Kufuor received a plaque, a television set and 1,000 exercise books printed by the New Times Corporation for a school of his choice and a year’s subscription to ''The Spectator'', initiators of the awards.
Minister of Food and Agriculture, Major Courage Quashigah (Rtd) who was the runner-up also received a plaque, a year’s subscription of ''The Spectator'' and a set of exercise books for a school of his choice.
Dr Addo Kufuor emerged the Minister of the Year when he polled 682 out of 1,021 nominations sent in by readers of the ''The Spectator''.
