NPP congratulates Government on Libyan airlift - Statement

The Communications Directorate of the NPP congratulates the Government for facilitating the initial airlift of Ghanaians stranded in Libya.

From phone calls, media reports,( local and international) there is no

doubt about the grave threat that our counterparts in Libya are facing to their lives.

We are happy Government has moved away from the initial reaction, to

facilitating the airlift last Saturday 26 February 2011.

We urge Government to explore all means to bring our compatriots back home safely.

We urge all Ghanaians to support these efforts of Government, in this

period of extreme danger to our compatriots in Libya.
