Wa All Stars yesterday managed to bring Berekum Chelsea's scoring machine to a temporal halt, when they defeated them 2-0 at Wa.

The loss notwithstanding, the current leaders are still ten points clear of second-placed Medeama, who recorded a vital 2-1 win over Dwarfs.

All Stars scored in both halves through Kweku Gyasi and Bernard Ocran in the 46th and 67th minutes respectively, denying the visitors a point despite dominating play.

At Cape Coast, visiting Medeama beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1, to revive their growing rivalry. Medeama fetched the opener, but an opportunity presented itself for the home side to pull even from a spot kick, but they missed it, and allowed the visitors to increase the tally.

Dwarfs fought relentlessly to redeem the lead, but their efforts yielded no results, until the latter part of the game, when a penalty was rewarded to pull one back.

Despondency took the better part of the home fans, who resorted to throwing of bagged water, and when some top officials went to calm them down, the fans got incensed and directed their anger at the officials, throwing bagged water at them. The fans uprising led to a temporal hold up of the tension-packed game.
