President John Evans Atta Mills has relieved 13 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) of their posts with immediate effect.
They are Messrs Kwadwo Addae, Sekyere East; Victor Amponsah, Offinso South; Jacob Kofi Dankwah Sekyere, Afram Plains, and Mohammed Boakye Agyemang, Ejisu-Juaben, all in the Ashanti Region.
In the Central Region, those relieved of their posts are Messrs Felix Oben-Forson, Agona West, and John Oremus Arko, Agona East.
In the Brong Ahafo Region, Fleance Danso, Asunafo South, and Dominic Yaw Owusu-Amoako, Tano North, have been relieved of their posts.
In the Eastern Region, Messrs Napoleon Amoako Asiamah, Birim North; G. Osei Bonsu Twum, Akuapem South; Seth Otchere, West Akim; Charles Evans Apraku, Kwawu North, and George Agyemang Dua, Kwaebibirem, have been relieved of their posts.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the President, Mr J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, said, “Until new metropolitan/municipal/district chief executives are appointed, the respective regional ministers are to oversee the administration of the affected areas.”
