2011: as ppa congratulates gov chibuike amaechi for clinching the rivers state pdp guber primaries we appeal to the governor to co-opt sir Celestine omehia into his campaign team

On 9th January, 2011 history was made as the position and plea of Princewill Political Associates on the need of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi contesting the 2011 general election was not only validated but did in such a way to demonstrate the awesome state of Amaechi's general acceptance by the PDP machinery in Rivers State. By voting massively for the candidature of Amaechi during the PDP Guber primaries in the State; what the PDP delegates posited was to reaffirm the earlier stand of PPA and that of many other interest groups including President Jonathan the leader of PDP, Senate President Senator David Mark, the muslim Ulma, the Rivers State House of Assemble, the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council, the Local Government Executive Council Chairmen, the church, the non-indigenes, the students and the people of Rivers State.

It can only take a living legend like Amaechi with intimidating records to make our good friend Sir Celestine Omehia not only to look ordinary but to run away from the venue of the congress after seeing the embarrassment that awaits him in the contest where he could not even vote for himself like a kindergarten pupil challenging his master in a contest like the PDP Primaries in the State and even force our principal, Prince Tonye Princewill whose political credentials stands him as the only capable and credible aspirant that could have given Amaechi a run for his money to bury his gubernatorial ambition in order to allow him complete and continue with his good deeds in Rivers State and for the Prince of Niger Delta Politics to accept to make such sacrifice in order to move our State forward we expect jokers like Dr. Abiye Sekibo and other aspirants to toe the path of honour and respect the stand and feeling of the people of Rivers State and emulate the Prince of Niger Delta Politics and join the positive train of Amaechi to take the State to greater heights.

For Amaechi to have redefined governance and bring governance to the doorpost of our people through initiating a total new city comparable with any modern city in Europe, initiate the construction of a monorail the first of its kind in Africa, save on a monthly basis for the future of our state the sum of N1B without tampering with it the first of a such a move by any government in Nigeria, offer scholarship and free education to our children from primary to secondary levels, construct and equipped 24 model Secondary Schools distributed and sited in all the LGAs of the State, constructed 260 functional Health Centres, constructed 350 model Primary Schools, offer of University scholarship to our people both in Canada, India, Ireland, Singapore and UK, engaged in the construction of 800km of roads across the State, construction of 10 major and 20 minor bridges, land reclamation/shore protection projects at Andoni, Opobo, Buguma, Abalama, Olobie/Owukiri, Oba Ama, Okirika, construction of two major markets, a shopping mall and two fly-over/interchange, arrested the precarious insecurity in the State, built and distributed 60 quality projects to 60 Communities in 60 days a move that can only be watched in a movie but a reality only to be achieved by Amaechi, attract foreign investors, build roads on the Sea to link communities that doesn't know how cars or roads look like, reclaim lands from the seas, redefines governance, If Gov Amaechi could achieve these much within three years then we can only imagine what Rivers State will look like if he is given another opportunity of extra four years.

Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi who was declared as duly elected candidate by the PDP National Electoral Committee Chief Dan Osi Orbih scoring 1,139 out 0f the 1,143 votes cast with our amiable sister, Mrs Dennisada Ben –Fiabema coming a distant second with one vote while former Governor Celstine Omehia and Dr. Moore Oja Chinda scoring no vote.

Ironically, it was the same venue, Diete-Spiff Civic Centre Port Harcourt that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi was elected as PDP Flag-Bearer in 2007 February that he was re-elected on 9th January, 2011 as the PDP Flag-Bearer. The difference with the two elections was that by 2007 the grand master of undemocratic principles in the entire world, General Olusegun Obasanjo annulled the election of Rt. Hon. Amaechi with his infamous K-leg initiative but today while General Olusegun Obsanjo stays in his Ota farm leaking his sore wounds as the embodiment of election rigging and undemocratic principles machine being haunted and humbled by the Asiwaji Bola Tinubu political machine; Amaechi stands as the new voice and face of democracy in Nigeria very far from the touch of this enemy of democracy.

Finally, not minding the great job by Chief Neysom Wike the Director General of AMAECHI Re-election Campaign Team and his men are doing, we wish to appeal to our Governor, Rt. Hon. Amaechi in the spirit of comradeship to co-opt and infuse Sir Celestine Omehia, Mrs. Dennisada Be-Fiabema and Dr Chinda into his re-election Campaign Team so far they have indicated interest to serve our people.

For avoidance of doubt, PPA means Princewill Political Associates, a pressure Group comprising of principled politicians mainly from South-South region projecting and promoting the ideals, principles and political ideology of Prince Tonye Princewill the erstwhile Leader of AC in Rivers State and its guber candidate in the 2007 general election of 2007 and currently a key actor in the affairs of PDP in Nigeria.
