Cape Coast, Dec. 7, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast, Mr Ebo Barton-Odro, has promised to give 10 computers to the Pedu Basic School.

He said this at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the school at Cape Coast.

Mr Barton-Odro appealed to parents to provide their children with quality education.

The Headmistress of Pedu Basic School 'B', Mrs. Sarah Mensah said the school, which has been in existence since 1960 is currently running two streams with staff strength of 36 and a total enrolment of 817.

She said the annual BECE results have always been encouraging and with hard work and dedication the school could do better.

Mrs. Mensah said challenges such as encroachment on the school land, lack of teachers' quarters, computers, toilet facilities as well as a library were hampering progress and called for assistance from organizations and philanthropists.
