Prez Mills to investigate GFA
Kwesi Nyantakyi, GFA Chairman
President John Evans Atta Mills has sought permission from Fifa boss Sepp Blatter to set up a presidential commission of enquiry to investigate how the Ghana Football Association uses funds given it by the government.
President Mills made the disclosure at a press briefing at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Wednesday night on his return from the Fifa headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
He explained that his intension to set up a commission to investigate the Ghana FA should not be seen as political interference but a way of ensuring financial sanity in the association.
This could lead to the formation of the public interest committee at the Football Association.
