Moslems residing in Maamobi and Nima have paid a courtesy call on the President at the Castle, Osu. President Kufuor expressed his appreciation of the courtesy call, as he never thought the residents appreciated his administration more so being the month of Ramadan.

He expressed his appreciation for the people living in peace adding, they have nothing to fear so far as they remained law abiding. If the nation was peaceful, Ghanaians stand to gain by attracting more investors and also build up the wealth of the nation for all to have a fair share of the national cake.

President Kufuor called on the moslems to send their children to modern schools and pointed out that a person educated in religious and modern ways is a better-educated person. He advised them to send the girl child to school adding, “If you educate a woman, you educate a whole nation”

The leader of the delegation Alhaji Ben Braimah said the people of Nima and Maamobi are rejoicing in his victory and asked for God's blessing and guidance.

He commended the President for his excellent relationship with everybody, especially the Vice President . This, he said indicates that the President is a God fearing and peace loving person.

“Nothing will be more pleasing to us than to be counted among those who will contribute to put our beloved President in the highest seat for the second term”, he added.
