Court issues bench warrant for arrest of farmer

Kade, April 14, GNA - A District Magistrate's Court at Kade on Wednesday issued a bench warrant for the arrest of David Kofi Nugbenyo, a farmer.

Nugbenyo, who was charged of stealing 15 gallons of palm oil belonging to two women, was granted GH¢900 bail with one surety but failed to re-appear at court.

Prosecution said that on December 4 last year, Nugbenyo stole the quantity of oil belonging to Celestine Akola and Amma Sholoyi, both palm oil producers at Nkwantanang, at a mill.

Nugbenyo transported the oil by a Mazda Urvan with registration number WR 1107 N, driven by Eric Sintim, a witness in the case, to Kade.
