DESPITE the biblical instruction that Christians should not partake in idol worship, an elder of the Church of Pentecost has paid a fetish priest to kill a fellow church member because of money.

The Pentecost elder, Frank Aboagye of the English Service of Kwadaso Pentecost Church in Kumasi, has reportedly bought a cow for the fetish priest and given him an amount of GH¢1,500 to buy the ritual items that would be used to kill the victim.

He is also reported to have given the fetish priest the name of his victim, his telephone number and the name of two other persons.

NEWS-ONE has gathered that  Elder Frank Aboagye worked as a sales manager for Jesus Is Evergreen Company Ltd, a private company owned by one of his church members and was accused of stealing an amount of GH¢33,000 from the company when a forensic audit was conducted.

Elder Aboagye was subsequently dismissed from the company and the theft matter sent to court.

After his dismissal, the Pentecost elder travelled all the way from Kumasi in the Ashanti region to a town called Nuaso, near Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern region to consult one Agbeko Honu, a fetish priest, to kill his boss so that the matter which is still pending in court, could end.

Frank Aboagye According to the fetish priest, Frank came to him about a month ago with a story that he owed his boss some money and that the matter had been taken to court.

The priest said Frank asked that his boss be killed so that the whole matter would become a 'foolish case'.

“Frank brought the name of his boss, his mobile phone number and the names of two other people as well as his bankers and said I should kill Mr. Owusu Ansah and also do something so that his bankers do not harass him since he is also indebted to them,” the fetish priest added and said though he refused to do the juju killing, the Pentecost Elder insisted.

The fetish priest explained further that he decided to report the Pentecost elder to the Police: “I therefore charged him 1,500 Ghana cedis and one cow but he readily brought the money and the cow and I called his boss in Kumasi to tell him about the money and Frank's intention to kill him."

According to him, he also reported the matter to the Nuaso police but said the Nuaso police did not show any interest in arresting Frank anytime he came to his shrine to find out how things were going. So he went for police personnel from Tema to effect the arrest.

He narrated that when Frank came on Thursday he informed the Tema police who came, arrested him and handed him over to the Nuaso police.

Mr. John Owusu-Ansah, who was sent to the fetish to be killed, expressed shock at the action of Elder Frank Aboagye. 

He said within the seven years that Frank worked for him, he assisted him to get married and also build his own house after which he set up a business for the wife. Source: NewsOne
