Bibiani (W/R), March 30, GNA - The Bibiani Government Hospital has taken delivery of equipment and items valued GH¢9,000.00, donated by North-Side Hospital, Atlanta, US.
These included two incubators, 10 drip stands, mattresses, rice, assorted fruit drink and soap.
The North-Side Hospital donated the items through Reverend Monsignor Simon Assamoah, Vicar General of Sefwi-Wiawso Catholic Diocese.
Presenting the equipment and items to the Bibiani Hospital, Rev. Asamoah advised personnel there to use the equipment and items judiciously to improve health delivery in the area.
Mr. Allen Anku, Administrator of the Bibiani Hospital, commended the donors for their contribution towards the development of health in the area.
He said this was the second time in two years that the health facility had received assistance from North-Side Hospital through Rev. Asamoah.
Mr. Louis Bayour, the District Coordinating Director, appealed to the Bibiani Hospital to put the equipment and items to good use.
He encouraged other churches to seek aid from their affiliates abroad to promote health care in the area.
