The re-emergence of (P)NDC Jungle-Rule

Flashback: NDC supporters at the Electoral Commission

Looking at the picture on the front page of the (4/3/10) edition of the Daily Guide newspaper, really made me felt ashamed as a Ghanaian. The audacity with which these lunatics, under the protection of the NDC umbrella, go about threatening fire and brimstone on innocent people of this nation is a text-book evidence of the fact that the so-called 'Asomdwee Hene' nature of Atta-Mills is nothing but a huge farcade. These lunatics can be clearly identified in the said photograph and I am waiting to see what over-zealous and a Atinga-Bio will do about it.

Today, I have decided to take my kind readers down the road where few people will dare to thread. I am doing this for the simple reason that if these current happenings in our country are not discussed, openly, by the decent people of this nation for fear of being branded as alarmists, then we shall continue to bury our heads in the sand till that day when our nation will be taken over by marauding thugs of the NDC party.

During the 2008 electioneering campaign, the NDC, through bogus propaganda, succeeded in deceiving Ghanaians into believing that they have shed their old-time 'Patapaa' characteristics when they launched what they erroneously dubbed “The New NDC”. This function at the national theatre was characterized by unprecedented levels of theatricals when speaker after speaker boasted of how they were going to vigorously persue all 'corrupt' NPP government officials and quickly throw them into jail. Betty Mould-Iddrisu and Herbert Mensah were in their full elements as regards their zeal to pursue 'corrupt' NPP officials.

During the various political discussions, and, on campaign platforms, the then candidate Mills portrayed himself to the general populace as someone who is an all-embracing in character. He succeeded in deceiving the citizenry into believing that he is an 'asomdwee hene' who was going to treat all Ghanaians with fairness. And because Ghanaians are peaceful by nature, we were hoodwinked into believing the 'asomdwee' nature of candidate Mills. Those around Atta-Mills kept drumming into the ears of Ghanaians that the then candidate Mills could be very much trusted when it comes to fairness in all his dealings, and, humility in character.

But, in days preceding the 2008 general elections, the NDC which was being led by the so-called 'asomdwee hene', was invited by the then ruling NPP party for some peace talks of a sort, in order to try and iron out the differences over certain electoral procedures existing between the two biggest political parties so that a message of peace could then be communicated to their respective followers in order to calm the seeming tension that had engulfed the nation at the time.

And on each of those occations, the 'asomdwee-hene-led' NDC turned down the invitation. This is because, the NDC had then embarked on the course of institutionalizing what I will describe as politico-electoral-blackmailing of the people of Ghana, with the sole purpose of coercing the entire citizenry to succumb to that climate of a possible civil war if the election results did not go their way.

At a time when the election results had barely started trickling in, the 'asomdwee hene' stood-by and watched when Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah held a press conference and issued a stern warning to the government and the electoral commission not to rig the elections, else, there was going to be 'Armageddon' in this great nation of ours. While all these reckless behviours were being displayed by these NDC intellectual-lunatics, one of their propaganda media outlets (Radio Gold), was also calling on their thugs to besiege the premises of the electoral commission with all kinds of offensive weapons.

During the second round of voting, the atmosphere in the country was filled with a thick cloud of doom-and-gloom following the irresponsible war-mongering pronouncements by the asomdwee-hene-led NDC. Individuals as Samuel Okudzato-Ablakwah, James Agyenin-Boateng, Kwesi Pratt and Tony Aidoo also cocooned themselves in the studios of Radio Gold and spewed ethnocentric venom and called on NDC thugs to rise up and be prepared to fight because the NPP was stealing their God-given mandate to rule.

The block-heads amongst the NDC heeded these nation-wrecking calls by these people who have been rewarded with ministerial and other juicy, but, useless appointments. Even the very rabid socialists, who used to describe foreign travels by government officials as an act of genocide against the people of Ghana, are today, basking in all-expenses-paid jolly rides with per-diems across the globe, like nobody's business.

Now, after the results of the elections had been declared after the polls in Tein, there came the Akwatia run-off and a few by-elections. It was during these follow-up elections that the senselessness of the NDC-sanctioned notorious Azorka boys was unleashed on the activists of the NPP. Dan Kweku Botwe, a sitting Member of Parliament who was an officially accredited polling agent during the Akwatia run-off, was asked to leave a polling station, by a mob believed to be associated with the Azorka group. This demand by these thugs was made in presence of the police and I learnt it was the police rather, that impressed upon Dan Botwe to leave the scene because they (police) could not guarantee his safety.

Then came the murders at Agbogbloshie where human beings were literally butchered, in broad-day-light, because they belong to the NPP party. A gentleman who had a brush with Rawlings during the 2004 electioneering campaign at Ashaiman, had his house invaded by some faceless people and shot in cold-blood, in presence of his young wife. And up to date, not even an ant has been arrested for all these heinous crimes.

The very latest of these lawlessness being perpetrated by these NDC thugs, is the besieging of a radio station just because a panelist has made a pronouncement that, in their whapped view, does not sound sweet in their wool-studded ears. And instead of the police going there to arrest those thugs, they rather went and pounced on that harmless young man, bundled him to the police station, had him charged, processed for court and 'jailed' for what the judge described as a protective custody. Can this judge also be taken into a protective custody at Nsawam if by any chance, some group of people who are also not happy with his judgment in the Darkwa Baafi case decide to besiege his house with the intension of harming him? The law, indeed, is a one big ass!!!

Now, I was listening to the mid-day edition of the Joy-Fm news on (3/3/10), when I heard a live report from the court where Nana Darkwah Baafi had made an appearance over his pronouncement about that inferno in Rawlings' house. These plain-faced thugs were at the court to beat up Darkwah Baafi because they claim their leaders were handling the case in a way they (the thugs) did not find satisfactory. This is certainly a gradual creeping of mob-rule into our body-politic and it is incumbent on all the people of this nation who have their heads properly screwed on, to, as matter of urgency, rise up and call the bluff of these rouges.

Richard Quashigah (the NDC 'ntoro' secretary) was called on the (3/3/10) edition of Joy-Fm news at 6pm and he said something to the effect that if the supporters of the NPP go to the court, then the supporters of the NDC are equally justified to go there. But I listened to the pronouncements made by those NDC block-heads which was to the effect that they were at the court to 'teach' Nana Daakwah Baafi a lesson because in their delusional state of imbecility, their NDC party leaders are not 'dealing' with Nana Darkwah the way they (the thugs) wanted.

Now, when Tsatsu Tsikata, Nana Konadu, Sherry Aryeetey, Kwame Pepprah, George Sipa-Yankey and the rest were being tried, did any youth group from the NPP besiege the courts to try and mete-out instant justice to any of these people because the trial had lasted for ages? Was it not these same NDC thugs who were, at the time, rather besieging the courts to beat up even judges sitting on the cases?

We were all in this country when, during the PNDC era, some lunatic butchers went and abducted some judges and callously dispatched them to the other world because they (the butchers) did not agree with the ruling of those judges. But, because we so easily forget the past in this country, we seem to be standing aloof for such lunatics to creep back into our society only to turn round and try to deal with the effects of such lunacy by these brain-dead little-dick-heads.

I personally know that the so-called 'Asomdwee Hene' and the hierarchy of the NDC are happy with what these thugs are doing and it is for this reason that I fully endorse the formation of the 'Bamba Boys' to serve as a deterrent to the evil activities of these NDC people.

The 'Azorka Boys' who have gained notoriety for visiting terror on political opponents, have now become an integral part of the NDC,with the elevation of their leader to the status of a vice chairman of the party in the northern region. So, how dare anybody criticize the formation of a parallel group by the NPP. The NDC's apprehension about the formation of a similar group by the NPP is a clear case of a notorious executioner refusing to lie prostrate for fear of having his own throat being slashed by an imaginary enemy!!!

Sir Isaac Newton's third law of motion states that “to every force there is an equal and opposite reaction”. The Atta-Mills-led administration will definitely not be able to deliver on any of those illusionist campaign promises by the end of their 4-yr mandate and the only life-line that will be available to them for the 2012 general elections is their age-old art of shameless skullduggery.

It is in the light of this, therefore, that I believe the formation of the 'Bamba Boys', is indeed, a welcome development and it must be put in-place with alacrity. This is because, the evils at the Nazi Death Camps (NDC) in the Polish towns of Ashweiz and Sobibor during the Second World War , were halted by the collective efforts of the Nationalistic Peoples' Power (NPP) of nations that jettison tyranny!!!.
