Funsi (UW), Feb. 25, GNA - Two Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Wa East District have received a quantity of computers to assist students to have access to Information Communication Technology (ICT) education.
The equipment was donated to Funsi and Kundungu JHSs by the South Sissala Tertiary Students Association through the district office of the Ghana Education Service.
Mr. Albert Mbebasi, an Assistant Director of Education in charge of Human Resource development, who inaugurated the computers, observed that lack of electricity would adversely affect the students desire to become ICT literate.
He advised students in the two schools to take studies in ICT seriously to enable them to compete with their counterparts in other parts of the country.
Mr. Moses Jotie, Headmaster of Funsi JHS, assured the donors that the computers would be used for the purpose for which they were intended.
