The Executive Director of Wisdom Tooth Ghana, (Wtghana), Mr. Samuel Kwapong Darkwa, on Tuesday donated 100 story books, entitled Home Sweet Home by a Ghanaian Author, to two orphanages in the Akuapem area.

Apart from the books, Wtghana would also offer six months Internet computer technology training, at a cost of GH¢6,500, to two Primary Schools in the Akuapem North District of the Eastern Region.

Wtghana is an Akropong Akuapem-based non governmental organization (NGO), whose objective is to promote Youth Empowerment, Child Development, Health and Environmental Conservation, and Volunteer Placement for community development.

Presenting the items to the beneficiary schools, including Trinity Home Foundation at Tutu Akuapem and Mount Zion Foster Home at Tinkong Appau, Mr. Darkwa said Wtghana had started Mobile ICT Clubs in five schools on a pilot basis.

The schools include the Akuffo Tom School Complex at Akropong Akuapem, Methodist Primary, District Assembly Primary School at Adukrom, and Mampong Nkwanta District Assembly Primary School, all in the Akuapem North District.

He said Wtghana would make available lap top computers to teach the children an hour per week for six months, where there was no electricity.

Receiving the books, Madam Sophia Nana Yaa Ampeah Asare, Proprietress of Trinity Home Academy and Orphanage at Tutu Akuapem, heaped praises on the donors for their kind gesture.
