Chocolate about running out in Ho ahead of Chocolate/Valentine Day
February 10, 2010
Ho, Feb. 10, GNA - Chocolate is likely to run out of stores and supermarkets in Ho ahead of this year's Valentine Day that is also marked Chocolate Day.
Five days to the event, supermarkets and gift shops in Ho reported recording high sales of the product including wines and candies.
Mr Joe Wise, Administrative Officer of the Stadium Gate Shopping Centre, told the GNA that within two days, Monday and Tuesday, a total of 25 cartons of chocolate were sold out of 48 cartons in stock.
He said in anticipation of a shortage he called for more cartons of the product but was told the factory had no stock.
At "Chop Better" supermarket, the Proprietor said "the season is just like that of Christmas so chocolates, wines and other giveaways are in high demand."
She said young men and women were mostly those rushing for the items.
Other gift shops and supermarkets have limited quantities of chocolate in stock.
They however have fresh supplies of hampers of goodies, Valentine cards, cakes and other gifts.
