Court fines two drivers for driving without license

Kumasi, Feb. 9, GNA - A Kumasi Circuit Court has imposed a total fine of GH¢1,080 on two drivers for driving without license.

Yaw Kusi and Baba Yaro would serve 12 months and six months jail term respectively in default.

They both pleaded guilty to the offence.
Police Chief Inspector J.S.K. Asamoah told the court presided over by Mr Justice D.W.P. Amedior that the two were arrested by personnel of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) during routine check.

They could not produce their driver's license.
Kusi did not also have a fire extinguisher and warning triangle while Yaro's vehicle was not covered by road worthiness and insurance stickers.
