NHIS beneficiaries asked to renew membership early
February 09, 2010
Yaala (U/W), Feb. 6, GNA - Mr. Abraham Asumah, the Wa East District Scheme Manager of the National Health Insurance Scheme, has urged beneficiaries of the scheme to always renew their membership early to avoid any disappointment when they fall ill.
He said members of the scheme in the district whose cards had expired came to his office to renew their membership only when they were taken ill.
Mr Asumah said this at a meeting with some beneficiaries at Yaala in the Wa East District.
Mr. Asumah said it took three months to be issued with new cards and that as a national policy the cards are now being issued in Accra.
