Barclays Bank Monthly Medal Golf scheduled for Feb. 6

Accra, Feb. 1, GNA — The first Barclays Bank Ghana Limited Monthly Medal Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, February 6.

Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said about 120 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18 Hole stable-ford competition.

He said the event, which would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Club, was open to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr Oteng-Aboagye said some of the golfers expected to participate in the competition include Matthias Dorfe, Charles Tabi, Mike Aggrey, Mike Ezan and Yaw Assah-Sam.

Nana Bema-Tackie would lead the Achimota Ladies team which would include Mona Myles-Lamptey, Clara Price, Mary Asafo-Adjaye, Maria Ben-George and Francisca Vandyck.

Mr Benjamin Dabrah, Managing Director of Barclays Bank is expected to present the trophies to the winners.
