District Assembly builds school for farming community
Fahiakobo (W/R), Jan. 27, GNA - The Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Assembly, has constructed a school block valued at GH¢ 28,414.77 for Fahaikobo, a farming community in the area.
The chiefs and people constructed the project through self-help with the assembly providing support in the form of building materials.
Mr Moses Kofi-Armah, District Chief Executive, who inaugurated the project praised the community for the initiative and urged parents to take advantage of the school by ensuring that all their children of school going age are enrolled.
He asked them to cut down on frivolous spending and put more money into the education of their children.
Mr Armah encouraged the pupils to study hard, be God-fearing, disciplined and to give respect to their teachers and the elderly.
Nana Kwaku Awuah II, Chief of the town, appealed to the assembly to supply the school with furniture.
