Nkoranza, (B/A), Dec. 31, GNA - The Reverend Father Andrews Addae, Parish Priest of Saint Martin De Pores Catholic Church, has urged couples to bring up their children to become God fearing and useful citizens.

He expressed regret that some parents shirked their responsibilities and allowed their children to join bad groups that lured them into social vices.

At the celebration of the Holy Family Week of the Church in Nkoranza, Rev. Father Addae urged parents to be concerned about the education and training of their children, who were great assets from God.

He said the only worthy legacy that parents could bequeath to their children was education, hence they needed to invest much of their resources in their children's education to make them responsible leaders in future.

He appealed to parents to reduce their huge expenses on social activities so they could offer the necessary support towards their children's education.

Rev Fr. Addae advised the youth to be humble and obey their parents and teachers to receive blessings from God, adding they should also eschew social vices and take their education seriously.

He urged them to let the teachings in the Holy Bible and from Jesus Christ reflect in their lifestyles to live above reproach and command respect in their communities.

Rev. Fr. Addae appealed to persons in responsible positions to offer selfless and dedicated services towards the development of Ghana.

The congregation later prayed for the leadership of the state and asked for God's blessings for all Ghanaians to live in unity and peace.
