I have been directed by the parents of this above mentioned patient to write this letter to you. This is a patient of this Centre. He was born with a hole-in-heart called Atrial Septal Defect (ASD).
This is affecting his health, and in order for him to get well, he will need an open-heart operation to close the hole. The total cost of surgery, anaesthesia, intensive care, etc is ten thousand Euros (Euro10,000). The Ghana Heart Foundation will assist by paying 50% of the cost. Therefore he is required to pay five thousand Euros (Euro 5,000) or its cedi equivalent.
