MP appeals to youth to lead upright lives
Dromankese(B/A), Dec. 16, GNA - Major Derek Oduro (RTD), the Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, has urged the youth to lead morally upright lives and take their education serious.
He was addressing the chiefs and people during the 15 anniversary celebration of the installation of the Kyidomhene of the area, Nana Asiama Diatuo II.
The anniversary was to bring together the family members and to initiate an educational endowment fund for the needy but brilliant youth of the family.
Maj Oduro commended the Kyidomhene and his elders for their vision towards the welfare of the family and called on other family heads to do the same.
He cautioned the youth against social vices such as "wee" smoking, drunkenness and premarital sex.
Nana Asiama Diatuo advised the youth of the family to be disciplined and law abiding in order to command respect from other people.
