Africa investor confirms Zambian Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources for its Tourism Investment Summit in Harare

Harare, Lusaka, Johannesburg, 15 December 2009: Africa investor (Ai) a leading international investment research and communications group, announced today, a Zambian delegation will attend the Africa investor Tourism Investment Summit. H.E. Catherine Namugala, Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources in Zambia, will lead the high level delegation to the Summit, that will be held from 15-17 February, Harare, Zimbabwe, 2010.

The Pan African Summit will bring together government Ministries, tourism and infrastructure funds, hospitality groups, real estate developers, major airlines, investment banks, project developers and construction companies.

Commenting on Africa's tourism sector, H.E. Catherine Namugala, Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources in Zambia, and speaker at the Ai Tourism Investment Summit, said that: “Government is prioritising infrastructure development as a catalyst for private sector tourism development to ensure increased investment in tourism. Southern African Development Committee member countries in particular should find strength in marketing tourism regionally as opposed to competing with each other.”

Commenting on the Summit, Hubert Danso, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director at Africa investor said, “The Summit will include over 80 speakers, all leaders in their specialised fields, which will ensure the Summit and networking represent an invaluable business development experience for investors and project promoters. The Africa investor Tourism Investor Awards will be presented at an only invitation Gala Dinner on the evening of the Tourism Summit. The Ai Tourism Investor Awards will collectively raise awareness about Africa as a tourism investment destination and reward groups developing the African tourism industry as a vehicle to drive sustainable economic growth.
