Potential Youth Club Launched

Tema, DEC 15, GNA - Miss Endurance Amoah, the President of Potential Youth Club (PYC), has said indiscipline among the youth could be curbed if adults preached temperament and emotional control to them.

Miss Amoah, who said this in Tema during the launch of PYC that is made up of about 300 school children selected from basic up to the junior high schools in the Metropolis.

She said it was high time society changed its negative perception about the youth and equip them with employable skills that would make them self-reliant.

On the Club's action plan for next year Miss Amoah said Christian literature books would be distributed free of charge to pupils in order to help inculcate reading habits in them.

Miss Amoah said Bible Quizzes would also be organised for school children to promote the fear and wisdom of the Lord in them in order to prevent them from going wayward.

Members of the Club were drawn from six basic schools within the Metropolis, namely: Saint Paul's and Star Basic, both in Community Five, Saint Albans (Community One), Naloy's SDA (Community Six),and Bright Star and Better Best, both at Golf City near Ashaiman.
