Koku Anyidoho: Mills' integrity is undisputed

The Head of Communications at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho, has said that President John Atta Mills is a man of integrity, a fact that is never in doubt.

He says even the opposition acknowledges that fact in proclaiming him the right man for the job, except they also add that he is in the wrong party.

Anyidoho told Hot FM's Kwame Bintim Katakyie that for members of the National Democratic Congress, they believe that President Mills is the right man in the right party. “He is not the right man in the wrong party at all,” he maintained.

He said that witnessing, as was recently proclaimed by economist Kwame Pianim, is nothing new and he is surprised Pianim's endorsement has taken the dimension that it has taken.

“Professor Mils is a man of integrity,” Koku re-echoed, adding also that it is undisputed.

Asked about the president's resolve to fight corruption if all he could do was to merely turn away people alleged to have gone to offer him 'envelopes', should Mr. Pianim's claim be true, Koku Anyidoho said there is more explanation to demand of Mr. Pianim because his (Koku's) investigations show that Mr. Pianim has not been to the Castle since Prof. Mills became President.

According to Koku Anydoho, Mr. Pianim could help by indicating how he came by that information and scorned suggestions that the minority in parliament claimed they were preparing to impeach the president.
