Accra, Dec. 6, GNA - Christians have been called upon to play up ordinary courtesies such as calling people to find out how they are faring and running errands to non- believers to change their mindset.
Mr Samuel Bediako, Christian Elder from the Ringway Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses who made the call stressed: "People observe more of what we do and how we do it than what we say or preach."
Mr Bediako was speaking on the topic: "Help People to Awake from Sleep -Don't forget your Relatives," at the on-going four-day international convention of Jehovah's Witnesses at the Ohene-Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on the theme: "Keep on the Watch."
He asked the conventioneers to treat their relatives with kindness and to support them in times of need in line with the exemplary conduct of Jesus who displayed unselfish love to mankind.
Mr Bediako said Jehovah's Witnesses should not give up on their "non-witness" relatives who have not dedicated themselves in serving Jehovah.
He said Jehovah's Witnesses should wait patiently on how the Bible would positively transform the lives of people, without mounting unnecessary pressure on them.
Mr Bediako observed that a kind and considerate gesture had the power to promote peaceful co-existence in society.
As part of the convention, free Digital Video Disc (DVD) copies on Creation were released to the public to inject in them the confidence in God as the creator of the universe.
Mr Geoffrey Jackson, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses organisation in Brooklyn in the US, who officially launched the DVD, said one of the tools used by the Devil to entrap people was the disbelief in the existence of God as the Creator of the universe.
He said belief in the Creator was crucial to the salvation, spiritual watchfulness and alertness of mankind.
Mr Jackson called on the conventioneers to remain spiritually attentive and to be busy in the Lord's ministry.

Jehovah's Witnesses come to our homes with a pretense that is fraudulent from the get-go. You pitch that you are doing Jesus work (lie) you use all sorts of conversation starters to try to put us at ease, con and scam us into joining your sect, that is no better than any other. Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you their Kingdom Halls are for "worship", but their "worship" consists of being taught how to overcome objections to the sales pitches they give at your doors and how to try and get their ...
