NDC Chairman cautions party activist against internal bickering

Tamale, Dec.3, GNA - Alhaji Sumani Zakari, Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appealed to the rank and file of the party to forge a united front and stop the internal bickering.

He said they should rather rally behind President John Evans Atta Mills to deliver on his campaign promises.

He said recent criticisms and attacks on the President by members of the party on the perceived slowness of his administration in running the affairs of the country was not a healthy development.

Alhaji Zakari who made the appeal at a press conference in Tamale on Wednesday said such public criticisms could distract the concentration of the President from his core agenda of working hard for a better Ghana.

He therefore called on all NDC members, including former President Rawlings to "seize fire" and rather support President Mills in his efforts to make Ghana a better place for all.

Alhaji Zakari use the occasion to thank delegates of the party who re-elected him as regional chairman at the recent party congress to elect new party executives.
