Accra , Dec 1, GNA - Mr Frank Davies, a legal practitioner, has been elected the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman of the Dadekotopon.

This was at a constituency delegates' conference held at La in Accra at the weekend.

Mr Davies polled 285 to beat Mrs Bennie Brown-Nuamah, a Public Relation Practitioner and the former Chairperson of the Constituency to 178 of 463 valid vote cast.

The election was postponed last week due to misunderstanding as a result of the disqualification of some contestants.

Nii Maale Adjei won the position of first Vice Chairman, Nii Amon Hammond and Nii Adjah Bernasko were unopposed for the positions of Secretary and Second Vice Chairman.

Mr Obodai Torgbor polled 258 votes to beat Mr Jakman Markenzel for the position of Assistant Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Tetteh also beat other three contestant to become the Organizer, whilst the Youth Organizer went to Nana Bruce who beat his sole contestant Mr Joseph Fiator with 14 votes difference.

In the race for Women Organizer position, Miss Christie Lovelace Nkansah beat two contestants and Mr Koety Nikoi also won the position of the Treasurer.

Mr Davies expressed his gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and his colleagues and promised to unite members of the constituency.

He said his main concern was to work hard and resolve the division in the constituency that caused the party to lose the seat it won in 2000 to National Democratic Congress.

Mr Davies promised to work with all the rank and file in the constituency to be more attractive to enable more to join to help the party win back the Dadekotopon seat in the 2012 election.
