The prophetic significance of the Israeli Prime Minister’s visit to Russia

The land of Israel, or Canaan, has been long disputed over by Israelites and Palestinians, as well as the entire league of Arab nations. Israel claims ownership over the land base on God's promise to Abraham (Ezekiel 33:24; Nehemiah 9:8; 1Chronicles 16:15-18; Deuteronomy 1:8; Genesis 17:8-21; 12:7; 13:15) where as the Palestinians claim ownership over Canaan by long residency. In which ever case, both Arabs and Israelites, appear to have grounds of legitimacy of over the Issue. In other words, Israel's ownership over the land of Canaan is divine and that of Palestinians, a natural right as they were the first people to have occupied the Land. This conflict has been since antiquity and it will not end now until the appearance of the Anti-Christ and on world politics, militarisms, and commence and finally the glorious appearance of Jesus. Daniel chapter 9 gives an account on the rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem which was first destroyed by the Babylonians and then the Romans. Currently, the Temple's site is occupied by a Mosque and the place has become the Third most holy for Muslims. The myth, “Mohammed rode to heaven on an Arabian horse” is enough to justify Muslims claim over that part of Jerusalem. The Anti-Christ being a world Leader with awesome power will step in and the conflict will partially decline as he enters into a covenant with the Jewish people. After three and a half years he will breach the covenant and defy the rebuilt Temple of the Jews by erecting an image of himself over the temple. All this will be in the tribulation and after the first half of the seven years; the last half will be marked by dire hardship and pain beyond any stretch of an imagination.

In Revelations 20, an account was given on how Satan will stir up Gog and Magog against Israel and other believers. And I announce, with no shadow of doubt in my heart, that the factors that will necessitate the fulfillment of God's Word to John in revelations 20 and that to Ezekiel in the chapter 38 of his book has been activated.

There will be a final anti-Christian confederacy against Christ and His people. The account is evident in Chapter 38 of the book of Ezekiel. Gog, which is believed to be the title of the authority that rules the Land of Magog, will be punished because together with his allies, he prepared to battle against Israel. Magog is widely accepeted to be Russia. It is believed that the descendants of Japheth, the eldest son of Noah, migrated to the Far north which is Russia. Magog happened to be one of the sons of Japheth by the account in Genesis 10:2. It is believed that Moscow and Tubolsk are names of modern Russian cities which might have been derived from Meshech and Tubal, two kingdoms mentioned in Ezekiel 38:2 in the Holy Bible.

Now, here is the point, recently, the Prime Minister of Israel, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, visited Russia to hold talks over new weapon deals between Russia and Iran. This is crucial because, Iran as been a major financier of the Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestinia that constantly lunches terrorist attacks on Israel. Below is a short reportage by Netnews.com over the issue of weapon sales to Iran and Syria by the Russian government. This confirms my submission.

“Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told Israeli President Shimon Peres during his last visit to Russia that he had ordered a review of all weapons deals with Syria and Iran, this after Peres presented him with information showing that weapons sold to these countries had been obtained by Hezbollah and Hamas”.(reported by Netnews.com)

Iran, not long ago, tested both long and short range missiles even though President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had declared that the pursuit of Iran's nuclear ambitions is to serve the purpose of generating Electricity for the country, a statement found to be partially true. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that it has evidence of Iranian Military program to produce high explosive missiles and I believe that by the test of long and short ranged missiles, Iran has confirmed the IAEA'S submission. Mr. Mahmoud has condemned Zionism and was reported to have said the Holocaust is a myth. This reveals clearly his position against Israel.

As of the time in writing experts in Russian are helping Iran enrich Uranium for nuclear reactors and this is a direct involvement of the Russian government in Iran's nuclear program. Since, the 20th century there has been strong ties between Iran and Russia even though one of Russia's intentions, then, was to influence internal affairs in Iran but this resulted in a lot of back clashes. Moreover, recent happenings prove perfectly clear that Russia supports Iran.

In Ezekiel 38:4 some countries where listed to be part of the final Anti-Christian confederacy God himself will destroy. These are Persia (present day Iran), Ethiopia, and Libya. Once again, one will realize that the factors that will set the confederacy at the full glare of the world have started and all these are to overthrow Israel and other believers in Jehovah God. It was reported of a Libyan, who happened to have said that in Libya there are three groups of people you will not find; Jews, Christians, and Americans. Russia, Iran, Libya, and Ethiopia will be allies of the final anti-Semitic movement.

So, the point I am establishing is that, Russia will not cease to support Iran and soon Libya and Ethiopia (now poses itself as supporter of Christianity but will soon be taken by Islam) will declare their open interest in the confederacy. The Prophecy of Ezekiel has started running the race of fulfillment among other End-time prophecies yet to be fulfilled. We are in the last days and he that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit of God is saying to everyone.
