Information Officers asked to be abreast of Government policies
November 20, 2009
He said majority of people could not avail themselves of opportunity created by certain government programmes and policies because of lack of knowledge.
The meeting was aimed at strategizing on how to educate the people on Government policies including the Capitation Grant, National Youth Employment, the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Peace, Unity and National Cohesion.
He entreated the Officers to take the campaign seriously by going to the remotest areas to propagate the message.
He advised them that as ISD Officers, they should never politicise issues of national interest since that could undermine their duties.
He noted that they would benefit a lot from the ISD in their respective areas if they were given the necessary support that would help them propagate their programmes and policies very well.
