Opoku Ware Old Boys in Germany on Thursday presented sports items worth over 2,000 Euros to the school. The items include 15 jerseys and pants, 15 pairs of boots, 15 pairs of hoses and six footballs.

At the same ceremony, the Ghana Chapter of the Old Boys Association also presented long service awards to four workers of the school including the headmaster.

Presenting the sports items to the school, Mr Gyamfi Boateng, a representative of the German Chapter, said last year, they presented German language equipment worth over 20 million cedis to the school to facilitate the study of German language.

He said the football items should galvanise the school to win more laurels in the game and announced that as from next academic year, the German Chapter would fund inter-house football competitions.

The winner, Mr Boateng said, will receive sets of jerseys and boots in addition to cash. He urged the students to learn hard so that one day they would also have the opportunity to travel outside and also present something to their alma mater.
