Old Tafo, (E/R) Nov. 15, GNA - The former Member of Parliament(MP) for Abuakwa North, Mr J. B. Danquah-Adu, has presented 100 dual desks to the Old Tafo A.M. E. Zion Primary School at a short ceremony at the school.

Mr Danquah-Adu sponsored the construction of the new six classroom block for the school from his share of the Common Fund when he was the MP for the area.

Presenting the desks, Mr Danquah-Adu said he was supported by his bankers, the Standard Chartered Bank, towards the acquisition of the dual desks for the school.

He promised to raise the necessary resources for electricity to be extended to the school so that the pupils would have access to the use of computers to help raise the standard of education in the area.

Receiving the desks on behalf of the community and the school, Tafohene Osabarima Adusei Peasah, thanked the former MP for his interest in the development of education in the area.

He called on other citizens of the area to also give their support in whatever way possible for the standard of education in Tafo to be improved.
