All slum areas in the Ashaiman Municipality will soon be upgraded to give the Municipality a facelift. This forms part of measures to make Ashaiman a 24-hour-city. Speaking at the second stakeholders Forum at Ashaiman, the Municipal Chief Executive, Numo Adinortey Addison, said the Assembly will from next week embark on a massive revenue mobilisation exercise.
The move is to ensure that revenue including refuse fees and property rates due the Assembly are collected. The forum took stock of the Assembly's activities for the past year and strategised for the future.
It was also used to launch the Municipal Brochure dubbed, "Ashaiman the City of Opportunities". Mr. Addison talked about other development projects in the offing.
He also refuted allegations that there is an armed robber's training school in Ashaiman.
