The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante today inducted four diocesan Bishops at a special service at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral at Adum in Kumasi.
They are Right Reverend Professor Osei-Safo-Kantanka, Bishop of Kumasi, Rt. Rev. Moses Quayson, Bishop of Asante Effiduase, Rt. Rev. Stephen Bosomtwe-Ayensu, Bishop of Obuasi and Rt. Rev. Winfred Ametefe, Bishop of Tema.
In a sermon, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante regretted that many Ghanaians including Ministers of the Gospel are chasing after material wealth, without pursuing the presence of God in their endeavours. He said it is when people focus their trust on God that their prosperity and wealth will bring them absolute peace.
Most Rev. Prof. Asante therefore urged the new Bishops to always cherish the presence of God in order to succeed in their calling to serve God, for the promotion of his glory and for edification of the congregation.
