New world champions, Ghana will arrive in Accra later Saturday night from Cairo after winning the Fifa U-20 World Cup.
The Black Satellites, who are set to receive a rapturous welcome at the Kotoka International Airport finished Friday night's final with ten men but went on to beat Brazil 4-3 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes.
Ghana, thus becomes the first African team to win the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
And the victory in Cairo was only the second U-20 World Cup Final to be decided by a penalty shoot-out, and for the Black Satellites, it was third time lucky as they had lost the finals in 1993 and 2001.
Agyeman Badu scored the decisive penalty kick to hand the Black Satellites the win.
