PRESIDENT ATTA Mills' Communications Director has incurred the wrath of some leading members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, over his recent attacks on Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, a leading member of the party.

The incensed NDC leading members were of the view that Mr. Anyidoho's sweltering attacks on Dr Spio-Garbrah was not only in bad taste but had the potential to cause cracks in the ruling party.

Reacting to the infamous attacks on Angel Fm, in Kumasi on Thursday morning, Joseph Yamin, two-time NDC parliamentary candidate for Kwadaso, said Mr Anyidoho was becoming unbecoming and that it was high time he was brought to order.

He noted that Mr Anyidoho, by his uncalled-for behavior, has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he was one of the mediocre government officials ex-President Rawlings was referring to.

The two-time disappointed Parliamentary candidate observed that there was no wisdom in the blistering manner Mr Anyidoho responded to Dr Spio-Garbrah's comments on the government because the comments were not directed to him (Anyidoho) as a person.

An agitated Yamin indicated that it was political immaturity of the highest order on the part of Mr Anyidoho to get personal with a colleague leading member, to the extent of attacking his educational status.

The aspiring Ashanti Regional Secretary of NDC said Mr Anyidoho's comment that he does not like the face of ex-president Kufuor because he is a wicked person was a low blow and should be condemned by all and sundry irrespective of one's political colour.

Mr Yamin, who failed to land the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive job, took a swipe at Mr Anyidoho for boasting that he resigned his job and toiled for the party to come to power.

“He resigned his job only three years ago and toiled for the party to come to power and he is boasting about that, what about some of us who for the past eight years stood behind the party and worked for its success,” he angrily noted.

Further brushing his claim that he has sacrificed his job for the party's success, Mr Yamin asked Mr Anyidoho to stop disturbing the ears of Ghanaians because he (Anyidoho) has been adequately rewarded.

Speaking on Kessben Fm, also in Kumasi, Inusah Fuseini, a leading member of the party and Sekyere East District Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), also lambasted Mr Anyidoho.

He said as Director of the President's Communications, Koku ought to exercise circumspection when commenting on issues both internally and externally in order not to drag the dignity of the Presidency into disrepute.

The aspiring Ashanti Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of the NDC frowned on the growing arrogance of Mr Anyidoho and urged the leadership of the party to call him to order before his actions and inactions split the party.

Mr Anyidoho granted an interview to Focus Radio, a Ghanaian radio station based in London and used the platform to launch blistering personal attacks on Dr Spio-Garbrah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO).

In the said interview, which has been played on a number of radio stations in the country, Mr Anyidoho did not only attack the competence of Dr Spio-Garbrah, former Education and Communications Minister in the Rawlings regime, but his academic status.

He claimed that Dr Spio-Garbrah was walking with a cheap PhD which he never toiled for but awarded to him by a small university in the United States of America (USA).

Mr Anyidoho also attacked ex-President Kufuor, saying that he does not like the latter's face because he was a wicked person who looted the country's coffers and gave money to his children to acquire properties such as shopping malls and hotels.

He was reacting to comments passed by Dr Spio-Garbrah that President Atta Mills has surrounded himself with team 'B' players who were not selected on the basis of competence but closeness to the President and financial consideration.
