The staff and management of Vodafone demonstrated their love for the Asogli Traditional Area during their Yam Festival, as the company spent GH¢36,000 on the festival, to make it more attractive to the people, who have remained committed to the company over the years.

The money, which was spent on a state dance, was also a part of donations of one hundred thousand pieces of Vodafon T-shirts, cups, drinks, Vodafone branded water, phones, and a street dance, which saw live displays by artistes like 2-Face and Slim Buster among others.

The Trade and Marketing Manager of Vodafone, Mr. Ekow Blackson, who presented the items at a business center in Ho popularly called Civic Center, said the gesture forms part of the company's social responsibility to support the traditional areas in their development activities.

Mr. Blackson, who educated the people on Vodafone organised promotional activities, said the draw dubbed, 'Stock and Win,' formed part of its outreach programmes, and urged all to participate in it.

Meanwhile, the Volta Region draw saw six persons wining various prizes in Ho.

In a related development, Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) also donated GH¢10,000 to the Asogli Traditional Area, as support to the people during the festive period, including some of the company's materials such as T-shirts and cups, which most people who witnessed the presentation, described MTN as committed and a regular supporter of the activities of the Asogli State.

The Acting Cooperate Services Executive of MTN, Madam Eleanor Adjaho Sarpong, who presented the items on behalf of the company, said the move was part of the company's support to traditional areas to assist in their activities.

This year's institutional assistance from Vodafone and MTN to the Asogli Traditional Area could be described as one of the best, as the major streets of Ho, after the festival was over, were left with the memories of the red and yellow colours, as the footprints of Vodafone and MTN.
